George Box has a dynamic
talent for creativity addressing social problems, sensuality,
and spiritual realms through a symbiotic blend of in-your-face
substance and vivacious merriment. Rich with color and symbolism,
his work smacks of truth made more palatable through his
sense of humor. In Painter's Pance we get an intimate glimpse
into the heart of a free spirit as s/he walks the path of
humanity exploring the balance between hardship and liberation
of the spirit. This artist provides us with candy for the
eyes and broccoli for the soul.
Box studied fine art and photography in
New York at New York University, the Art Students' League,
and the School of Visual Arts. His work is well represented
in collections in FL, NY, CT, CA and Hawaii.
