Combining art with technology,
Lewka Z Cims takes ordinary objects and metamorphizes them
into extraordinary images through manipulation of their
colors, shapes and textures. Using little or no narrative,
he nevertheless compels us to study the works where the
color's physical presence holds sufficient meaning. The
eye cannot help but plunge into the transparent looking
lime green orange in Orange Apple Combo; these images are
about the sensations that light and color can convey.
Using the latest technology in digital cameras, software,
drawing tablet and printing techniques, he produces fine
art Glicee prints of exemplary presence and striking composition.
Cims earned his Bachelor of Arts degree
from Berklee College of Music, and then complemented his
education with additional classes in drawing. He lives and
exhibits in Massachusetts. |
